Green Me Up
Specials ⁄ Pilots

Two families challenge each other to see who can implement the most green changes to their home during the course of a month. These next door neighbors have dramatically different houses: one lives in a 100 year old brownstone and the other in their new construction dream home. Each have some areas where they can seriously “go green.” From the waterless hot water tank and dual flush toilets to insulating an attic with recycled paper materials or replacing floors with sustainable bamboo, the families embark on “do it yourself” home projects that can reduce their carbon footprint.

The families also go toe to toe on lifestyle changes. Do they really need a 30 minute shower? How about walking to school instead of driving? What's at stake? The family who is able to reduce their carbon footprint the most wins an electric car! Most importantly, their efforts helps save the planet!
