“Megastructures” is a series of seven one-hour specials produced by Screaming Flea Productions in Seattle, Washington, for National Geographic Channel and National Geographic International Channel. Each one-hour special takes an inside look at a different megastructure around the world. Previous shows have focused on: the Sears Tower, the Autobahn, the USS Ronald Reagan, and Kansai International Airport. Each show goes behind the scenes to show what it takes to make these amazing places work.
Whether it's a wild ride inside the elevator shaft of the tallest office building in North America, a white-knuckle drive on the world's ultimate superhighway, a shakedown cruise aboard the largest and most technologically advanced aircraft carrier in the world, or a look inside a massive international airport that's slowly sinking into the sea, “Megastructures” leaves no stone unturned as it takes an in-depth look at what it takes to operate, manage and maintain these modern-day marvels!
